# API push

> Send pages from your own app or pipeline.

Create a source of type **API** in the dashboard. The source starts empty. Then push pages with an organisation API key that has `pages.write`.

[WordPress](/docs/wordpress), [Shopify](/docs/shopify), [Laravel](/docs/laravel), and the [PHP client](/docs/php) already do this. Use those when they fit.

After you push, Datalumo indexes in the background. Watch progress on the source page, then point a [chat](/docs/chat) or [search](/docs/search) widget at the source.

You can send a thumbnail URL with each page. Turn **Thumbnails** on under Look to show it on results and cited sources.
