Answers start with a search over your knowledge base. The model writes from those passages, not from thin air.

  • Citations link back to the pages used, so people can check the source.
  • Strict mode sticks to your content. Balanced mode can fill small gaps with general knowledge.
  • Set a persona, how strict it is, and any custom instructions. Try replies in Ask before the bubble goes live.
  • When answer credits run out, the widget falls back to plain search. Nothing breaks.

Search and chat work in most languages, even when the question and the source pages are not the same language. Chat replies in the language of the question. Widget labels (placeholders, buttons) ship in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Thai. Those follow the visitor's browser by default. You can pin a language in the widget settings if you do not want that.
