Knowledge
AI knowledge base for your content
You already wrote the answers on your site, in docs, and in files. Datalumo indexes that content so visitors and your team can ask questions and get replies with sources they can open.

- Mix sources in one knowledge base: crawl, sitemap, WordPress, Shopify, uploads, storage buckets, or the API.
- Power chat widgets, search widgets, and the internal Ask UI from the same index.
- Citations link back to pages so answers stay checkable.
- Delete a page, a source, or everything. You decide what stays indexed.
Make existing content easier to find
Asking beats hunting menus
Help centers, blogs, and docs only help if people can find them. A question is often faster than browsing.
Separate bases when you need them
Keep product docs apart from marketing, or brands apart, each with its own widgets and sources.
Stays current with your site
Re-crawl and re-sync so answers track what you publish, not an export from last quarter.
Simple path to something live
Connect content, try questions in Ask, ship a widget when the answers look right.
How it works
-
1
Create a knowledge base
Name it, pick how content comes in, and connect your first source.
-
2
Index and check
Pages are chunked and embedded. Ask questions yourself until the answers look solid.
-
3
Ship chat, search, or both
Widgets and the API read the same knowledge. Update sources whenever you need.
“Datalumo gives our visitors a new way to discover the tips and articles on our blog. People can just ask what they want to know instead of searching through posts. It makes our content much more useful.”
Questions
→What can I connect?
Website crawl or sitemap, WordPress, Shopify, file uploads (PDF, Markdown, plain text), storage buckets, and pages pushed over the API. Laravel and PHP packages help if you build your own stack.
→How does grounding work?
Each answer starts with a search over your indexed chunks. The model writes from those passages. Citations point at the pages used.
→Is this only for public websites?
Public site content is the common case. You can also upload private docs and push content via the API for product or internal knowledge, then expose it through widgets you control.
→Can I self-host?
Self-hosting is available, but not as a self-service install. Get in touch if you need Datalumo on your own infrastructure.
→What about training on my data?
Your content and visitor questions are not used to train the models behind Datalumo.

Hi, I'm Jeffrey 👋 I built Datalumo because good sites still make people hunt through menus and keyword search. I'm building it in the open: @jeffreyrossum.
