Lots of websites, even today, still have a basic keyword search. I ran into that on a few big, content-heavy WordPress sites. People type questions. Search looks for the exact words. You get a poor result, or nothing at all.
That is what I built Datalumo for: AI search and chat for your website, grounded in your own content.
What it is
Datalumo lets you ingest content from the sources you already have. Your site, a sitemap, files, WordPress, Shopify, or an API. It turns that into a knowledge base, then gives you embeddable search and chat widgets.

A better search
People are used to typing a question. Most site search still cannot deal with that.
Datalumo can. It understands the question, not only the keyword, and it stays on your pages. Docs, a help center, a blog people get lost in. Fewer "I can't find it" messages.
Then chat
The next step is a conversation with that same content. Visitors can ask follow-ups. You can set the tone. By default it stays grounded: if it does not know, it says so.
If you want a bot that talks about the whole internet, this is the wrong product.
It has to look right
I know it is a bit corny to say this about something I made myself. I spent a lot of time on the small choices: fewer steps, clearer defaults, widgets that follow your site instead of looking like a toy bolted on.
Built with care
Every answer starts from your content. Citations link back to the pages used. You decide how strict that is. Your content and visitor questions are not used to train models.
Those defaults had to be something I would trust on a real site.
